Each scenario has been crafted to test your ability to plan and execute lessons that engage and educate diverse learners, whether in a classroom or an online setting.

All that fantastic knowledge you gained in the 120 Hour or 160 Hour TEFL is going to be applied to some Teaching Scenarios with the sole aim of making you an Outstanding Teacher. • Complete the Error Correction Task. This task involves identifying and correcting errors in given learner responses.

Choose Your Scenarios

• Review the six available scenarios carefully. Each scenario has a unique focus on either grammar or vocabulary, different age groups, and various teaching contexts.
• Select three scenarios that best match your interests or where you feel you can apply your knowledge most effectively.
• Once you have chosen your scenarios, proceed to the relevant sections.

Lesson Planning

• For each scenario, you will need to complete a lesson plan using the appropriate template.
  • Grammar-focused scenarios (Scenarios 1, 3, and 5) should use the Grammar Lesson Plan template.
  • Vocabulary-focused scenarios (Scenarios 2, 4, and 6) should use the Vocabulary Lesson Plan template.
• Your lesson plans should demonstrate a clear structure with learning objectives, a detailed step-by-step guide to each activity, and appropriate timings.
• Ensure your lesson plans are age-appropriate, level-appropriate, and culturally relevant to the scenario context.

Essay Writing

• For each selected scenario, you must also write an essay (700-1000 words). The essay should cover the following:
  • Contextual understanding of the scenario (age group, proficiency level, and cultural setting).
  • Rationale for the choice of grammar or vocabulary focus.
  • Teaching strategies and approaches you would use to deliver the lesson effectively.
  • Adaptations for any potential challenges you may face, such as varying proficiency levels or mixed-age groups.
    o Reflection on potential outcomes—what would success look like for your learners, and how would you measure it?
• Ensure the essay is well-organized, with clear arguments and justifications for your choices.

Assignment: Planning for Individual Learners

• This task requires you to create a syllabus tailored to the needs of individual learners. You will need to use the provided audio recording and student work as part of your planning.
• Fill out the document with the relevant details as instructed. Be sure to focus on aligning the syllabus with learner needs and objectives, considering the learner’s age, proficiency level, and goals.
